...in several ways
Yup, my life is beginning to get better. And now I'm talking about everything from my relationship with my parents, to how I cope in school, to my physical and mental health. Everything is just seeming to get better and better all the time.
Today, I finally got my brace off. The one I've worn on my leg for 6 weeks straight now. I had imagined it would be painful as heck to start bending my knee again, but that's not the case. Not to the extent I'd feared, anyway. I can actually bend it into about 30-35 degrees before it starts hurting. And even then, we're not talking about the excruciating pain I'd imagined would come. Getting my brace off, and getting the all-clear from my doctor, means that I now walk unaided. Less than an hour after getting the brace off, I ditched the crutches for anything other than walking stairs. And yet another hour later, I had stopped using them even for stairs. I will hold onto the railing when walking in stairs, but nothing beyond that. And this all means that maybe I'll be able to go bowling on my birthday after all. It's only two weeks until my birthday, but I sincerely expect to have recovered fully by then. Not only the injury having recovered, but also having loosened up the stiffness in my knee.
Also, I've gotten a new appointment at the National Hospital. After my initial appointment was cancelled, I have now been given a new appointment in late February. I can't say I was pleased with having to wait for so long, but at least now I have an appointment date.
My dad has also let me have back full internet on both my computer and my phone. I had to agree to less-than-ideal conditions to get it back, but it was totally worth it in the end!
So I'd say my life is definitely getting better. Things are improving rapidly. Some of it might be down to me becoming more mature, but I think that in a lot of cases we're talking about real improvement, not just improvement through altered perception.

09.09.14 - Back To Reality...
...and also some good news!
Hey again! I'm sorry for the long summer hiatus, but now I'm back and I'm hoping to be able to write more frequently now.
So, my life has changed massively since last time I wrote. Some minor changes include adding a bunch of new great memories, as I had a wonderful summer and finally got to practice my Spanish with actual Spanish people and I was able to hang out with my best friend a lot. My family and I are also looking after a wonderfully cute and adorable dog for we don't know how long, and there's a big chance we'll end up buying him!
But those are just minor changes compared to the rest that's happened i
16.06.14 - Once Again It's Summer Holidays...
...but not quite yet.
Yeah, summer holidays are fast approaching. And for most students at my school, it's already come. Except for the students in my class, the 2IB class. We're still stuck in school for another week, working on our Extended Essays. Which, since everyone else is on holiday right now, is kinda annoying.
But at least we had a great time the first week of June. We went on a class trip to Edinburgh, and it was awesome! We went to see the Scottish Parliament, the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, we went city sightseeing... The list is long, and it was a fantastic trip. I might post some pictures soon.
So, yeah. Hope you
12.05.14 - Rise Like A Phoenix...
...because Conchita Wurst is now Queen of Europe!
I’m really happy Conchita Wurst won Eurovision.
Before watching the final, my favourite song was Iceland’s No Prejudice. I firmly hoped for it to win, and I voted for it during the voting. I hadn’t actually heard the Austrian entry before, but I knew who would be performing it and I thought that no matter what the song was like, it’s was cool that they’d have a drag queen performing.
But then the announcements of the votes began. I was watching the show with my homophobic dad, and he got annoyed when they started giving Austria 12 points. So, just to spite hi
08.06.14 - I Just Had A Really Bad Experience...
...Relating to the Russ...
In Norway, high school seniors celebrate by doing crazy things and dressing in a kind of uniform. This is called Russ. And as mentioned, the Russ do a lot of crazy things.
Today, the Russ at my school “celebrate” no-makeup-day, which means that females may not wear make-up and males may not wear hair products. Unless you’re a Russ, in which case you’re exempt. And if you don’t comply, they’ll spray you with water or something.
When I got ready for school this morning, I had no idea that today was no-makeup-day, so I put product in my hair as I’d normally do. I came to sch
